Assignment 2

These photos were shot at close range using an 18mm lens, appature priority. Again as shown in other photos I had to get within a few feet of the subject to fill the frame.

Assignment 2

These photos were shot using an 18mm lens, Appateur Priority. They demonstrate that to get close up one must get within a few feet of the subject. They were shot at close to medium range. I learned that the wider the angle of the lens the closer one must be to the subject to fill the photo.

Assignment 2

These photos were taken with an 18mm lens, Shutter Priority. These photos show that a wide lens makes a wide photo which shows a great deal of information.

Assignment 1

For this series of shots I used shutter priority, setting my shutter speed on 1/1000 and let the camera set the appature. I also used a 300mm lens. By using a 1/1000 shutter speed I was able to stop the rotation of the airplane propellers.

Assignment 1

For these photos I used apperature priority. Setting my appature at maximum opening and letting the camera set the shutter speed. Because I was shooting in low light conditions I used ISO of 1600. For near focus, I focused on the foreground and let the background be out of focus. For far focus, I focused on the background and let the foreground be out of focus. I learned that to achieve the correct depth of field I must focus on the portion of the field that I want to be in focus. By doing that the balance of the field will be out of focus. I also learned that a wide angle lens will result in a greater depth of field and that a telephoto lens will result in a nearower depth of field.
