HARD NEWS TEA PARTY 2009

April 15, 1009 Tea Party. Held in the Gardner Center on the Dixie State College Campus from 5pm to 7pm. An estimated 2000 people attended to voice their concerns and their opposition to government policies and taxation. This started out as some e mails between several people. It was picked up by some radio talk shows and very quickly became a nation wide phenomenon. Tea Parties were held in an estimated 500 locations across the nation. St. George organizers stated on KCSG TV news that they started out with eight for the first meeting. By the day of the party an estimated 2000 attended.
